The term broadband can have different meanings in different contexts. The term's meaning has undergone substantial shifts. Q. Ok so we're paying around 20 quid a month for unlimited, 8Mb broadband with Orange. We need something cheap, and the download limit not to be too low, but apparently we've never reached above the download limit so we probably don't need Unlimited anymore.
